Marietta, OH, May 6, 2022- The leading provider of laboratory equipment, Caron Products, is pleased to announce today, Joseph Chin as the Manager of Global Strategic Sourcing. Chin is an esteemed leader with 15 years of experience in international logistics planning and operations in the automotive and industrial cutting tool industries. This experience allows Chin to seamlessly work to expand and improve upon Caron’s supply chain, identify alternate sourcing, improve inventory management and improve production throughput.

Previously to joining Caron Scientific, Chin led teams in MRP planning as well as Procurement; skills Caron Scientific executive leadership team recognizes will only widen overall customer satisfaction by increasing materials availability, minimizing inventory levels, optimizing inventory management, and emphasizing strategic sourcing.

About Joseph Chin

Joseph Chin successfully led teams in the automotive industry managing logistics for fifteen years, after which he joined the Ceratizit Group, a manufacturer of hard materials wear products and cutting tools. With Ceratizit, Chin managed their Chicago and Detroit teams MRP planning, procurement, and warehousing for manufacturing and distribution centers.

Joseph Chin brings an impressive list of leadership assets to Caron Scientific that will not only benefit Caron’s sourcing space as the Director of Global Strategic Sourcing but will also engage companywide.

Chin holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a certification method that provides organizations tools to improve the capability of their business processes. For Caron Scientific, this means increase in performance and decrease in process variation, improving quality of products and services to our clients.

Joseph Chin holds a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is proficient in 4 languages.
